Violets in the heart of Assisi Beerock again, the fourth edition of the craft beers of Umbria, all dedicated to celebrating under the stars, the combination of rock music and beer.
Large opening in the event of the Pro Loco Violas, with the conference "The craft beer Umbria: from agricultural production to the marketing of the finished product," scheduled for Saturday, July 12th, 2014 at 17.30 hours, in the hall of the 'ex- Art Gallery at the municipal center of Assisi. The conference is organized with the collaboration and support of partners of excellence such as the Umbria Region, CERB (Centre of Excellence for Research on beer) and Coldiretti. A succession of speakers on stage Dr. Fernanda Cecchini, Regional Minister for Agriculture, Prof. Joseph Perretti, Deputy Director of the CERB, and Dr. Marino Pilati, representative of Coldiretti, which will reflect on the causes, results and limitations of the promotion Beer regional gastronomic excellence.
In the evenings 25 to 27 July 2014 Beerock propose a tasting tour to discover the flavor of the best artisanal Umbria: d to taste red, blonde, amber and spiced, accompanied by the flow of the most authentic traditional local cuisine. A dozen the number of microbreweries present, to offer a wide variety of beers to taste. In the window of Beerock lovers pint find the stars of the firmament of the brewery umbra (the historic Brewery St. Blaise, the Brewery Perugia, who last year won the gold medal in ll'European Beer Star Award and the Silver Award at the 2014 cerevisia promoted by Banco National tasting of beers), together with a representation of the latest trends and innovations of the universe of regional microbreweries (Fortinbras Brewery, Beer Flea, Centolitri, Looppolo, Caber Beer).
The undisputed star of the three evenings will be, once again, the harmony between the taste of the mixture of malt and hops, and the rock sound of live concerts. This year Beerock offers three musical performances that fail to engage, enchant and unite all generations. To give the exchange the tribute band on stage three of the most famous bands in the world to have marked the history of rock. Friday, July 25 with the exception of the opening concert of "The Voodoo Tongue", who will talk about the sounds and emotions of the music of the Rolling Stones. Saturday, July 26 Beerock will have the honor of hosting the "Achtung Babies", a tribute Italian official U2 tribute band and their first international. Closing with a flourish Sunday, July 27 with the music of "PULSE", with which you can enjoy the sound of another timeless monument of rock history, Pink Floyd.
The 2014 edition has two new features not to be missed. This year Beerock expands its program with a meeting dedicated to all lovers of two wheels, Motobeerock. In the afternoon of Saturday, July 26 riders will have the opportunity to saddle up and take part in a motorcycle tour in the verdant green of the Umbrian countryside, stopping and aperitif at one of the most fascinating breweries in our region, the ancient Monastery of St. Blaise Nocera Umbra. Sunday, July 27, moreover, the 'appointment is with the taste. A delight the palates of guests Beerock will be a special tasting menu with delicious culinary creations in conjunction with the character and flavor of craft beers. Stand and catering points will be open every evening.
