On May 18th Spello will be commemorating the feast day of its patron saint, St Felix, with the traditional procession bearing the reliquary containing the remains of the saint from the Church of San Lorenzo.

In Assisi the Feast of the Ascension, which this year falls on May 20th, is traditionally celebrated by a gathering of the townsfolk on Monte Subasio for a picnic lunch and a day in the fresh, spring air. The inhabitants of Spello also have the same tradition, although they flock to the La Spella hermitage while the Assisans meet at the Stazzi.

On May 20th Alviano will be holding its traditional celebrations to honour the feast day of St Isidore, the patron saint of farmers, with Holy Mass and a solemn procession through the city streets.

On May 19th and 20th Montecchio will be celebrating its patron saint, St Bernardino, with a walk through the olive groves in the hills around the city and a tasting of typical local produce. Departure will be at 9.30am.
